American University’s Kogod School of Business sits on a stunning campus mere miles from the White House and the United States Capitol, providing students with unparalleled opportunities to make an impact locally, nationally, and globally. Ranked as the no. 1 place to live for business graduates by Move.org, DC offers numerous business and finance jobs alongside rich cultural opportunities.
Kogod is located in Washington, DC, but it's not smack in the heart of downtown Washington. So you kind of have a place of peace to study and focus rather than dealing with the hustle and bustle of the downtown city. But it's not far from downtown, so you get the best of both worlds.
We're able to benefit from all of the resources that DC has to offer, but you have nature on the campus, which is really cool.
The benefit of being in Washington is there's anything and everything under the sun located here, whether it's government related, NGO related, small business, entrepreneurship, consulting, you can find it here.
Another really cool thing is you have the White House and you have the Capitol, and you have all of the government agencies here. And so a lot of my friends have been Hillterns.
I have recently learned that, was it News World and Report ranked Washington number four for best cities to live and number one places to live for business graduates by Move Data Work. Whether you're riding your bike, taking a Vespa, walking, taking the Metro, there is a myriad of things to do here in every budget.
Everything is so easily accessible, and there's so many things to do and so many things to see and so many free museums as well. I love the city.
